Every bomb dropped in Iraq explodes from Mobile to New Orleans
Justice in Iraq and the Gulf Coast—bring the troops and survivors home NOW!
by Stephen Funk, 13 March 2006

Hi Everyone,
I'm going back to New Orleans, and this time I'm not being Court-Martialed [crosses fingers].  Iraq Veterans Against the War and Veterans for Peace, two groups I've been involved in for sometime, have organized a march down south.  From March 14th- 19th we will march from Mobile, AL to New Orleans, LA through some of the places most devastated by hurricane Katrina.  The march has two objectives; to collect donations of money, food, and supplies that will be distributed to needy Katrina victims during the march; and to make the point that the extremely botched response to Katrina was unacceptable, and was amplified by the fact that our resources, focus, energy, and servicepeople were sent to wage the illegal and immoral war on Iraq.

Attached is a sponsor sheet with my name on it. You can send it to either the address on the form or to me [1261 Broderick St. #301, San Francisco, CA 94115] and I'll make sure it gets to the right place on time.  This is last minute because I involved myself in other fundraising before coming to you, my family and friends.  I know it is a lot to ask, and I know that many of you are students or perhaps not in the position to make a contribution.  That is fine, perhaps you can forward this on to someone else.  Even just a few dollars will add up.  Also, for those who have not finished their taxes, this is tax-deductable.  For more information please visit www.vetgulfmarch.org
